Terms of Service

Last updated: March 1, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the KeepFiled website and service operated by KeepFiled ("we", "us", "our"). By using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

KeepFiled provides an email-based document filing service. You forward emails to a unique address, and we use AI to analyze, rename, and organize your documents in Google Drive. The service also saves emails without attachments as filed documents.

2. Account & Eligibility

You must sign in with a Google account to use KeepFiled. You must be at least 13 years old. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your account credentials secure.

3. Your Content

You retain ownership of all documents and content you send to KeepFiled. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the filing service — analyzing, renaming, and uploading files to your Google Drive.

We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use your documents for any purpose other than providing the service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

5. AI Processing

KeepFiled uses artificial intelligence (via OpenAI) to analyze your documents and suggest filenames and folder paths. AI processing is not perfect — we may occasionally misclassify, misname, or misfile a document. You can correct any errors by replying to confirmation emails or using the dashboard.

6. Google Drive Access

KeepFiled requires access to your Google Drive to create folders and upload files. We only access the folders we create (within a "KeepFiled" root folder) and do not read, modify, or delete other files in your Drive. You can revoke access at any time via your Google Account permissions.

7. Service Availability

We strive to keep KeepFiled available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KeepFiled and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or documents, arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

9. Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

10. Termination

You may stop using KeepFiled at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your files remain in your Google Drive — we do not delete them.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
